Wreaths Across America Update

The Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is proud to partner with Wreaths Across America for their annual wreath laying ceremony and event.  In 2017 alone, an estimated 35,000 wreaths were purchased and placed at the five state veteran cemeteries.  Wreaths are sponsored by individuals and are purchased exclusively through the Wreaths Across America Program.  Each of the state veteran cemeteries has an assigned Wreaths Across America Coordinator who plans for the event and arranges for distribution and placement of wreaths each year.  Individuals or organizations who are interested in sponsoring a wreath must directly contact Wreaths Across America.  MDVA, while serving as a host site, does not collect donations or participate in the sale of wreaths.  Additionally, planning and facilitation of the entire event is the responsibility of Wreaths Across America.  The Department looks forward to continuing to serve as a host site for this event and to continuing its commitment to honoring our veterans and families.  For more information on Wreaths Across America and how you, or your organization, can sponsor a wreath, please visit
