Christopher T. Piscitelli

Director, Cemetery and Memorial Program
Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs

Mr. Piscitelli began his service with the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs in 1999 as the superintendent of the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.  He was promoted to Director of the Cemetery and Memorial Program in November 2008.  Mr. Piscitelli provides leadership and direction for 5 State of Maryland Veterans Cemeteries which are becoming National Shrine Cemeteries for the State of Maryland. He is responsible for ensuring dignified burials and perpetual care for veterans and their eligible dependents.

Before joining Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Piscitelli worked 18 years in the private golf course industry. He was an assistant superintendent at Army Navy County Club, Woodmont Country Club, Walden Golf & Country Club, and Hunt Valley Country Club where he was responsible for moving the clubs forward with the highest standard of excellence.

Mr. Piscitelli is a graduate from the University of Maryland, Institute of Applied Agriculture. He earned his degree in Golf Course Management.
