Maryland Veterans Trust Fund Grant Application Is Now Open
ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Maryland Veterans Trust Fund has reopened its online grant application portal on August 1st, 2026. The program will begin accepting new grant applications from eligible veterans, surviving spouses, and members of the Maryland National Guard experiencing financial hardship.
New Monthly Application Schedule
To improve efficiency and provide applicants with predictable timelines, the Veterans Trust Fund has implemented a new monthly review schedule:
- 1st–15th: Grant applications are accepted through the online Salesforce Grants Management System.
- 16th–23rd: Applications are reviewed and funding decisions are finalized.
- 24th–End of Month: Applicants are notified of grant awards or declinations.
This predictable schedule ensures timely application processing and consistent communication with all applicants.
New Leadership
The Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families is also pleased to welcome Anissa M. Walker, who joined the Veterans Trust Fund as Executive Director in June 2026. Under her leadership, the program will continue its vital mission of providing financial assistance to Maryland's veterans and military families in times of need.
