Supportive Services for Veterans and their Families

SSVF provides eligible veteran families with case management and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include health care, daily living services, financial planning, transportation, fiduciary services, legal services, child care, and housing counseling.

Housing Counseling & Legal Services Network

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development maintains a list of HUD-approved housing counseling agencies and legal services providers. They offer free, objective advice, assist individuals facing foreclosure, and help negotiate reasonable terms with mortgage companies.

Energy Assistance

The Office of Home Energy Programs provides financial assistance for utility or heating bills. Eligibility is income-based and does not require a turn-off notice.
